AutoPoint Notifier Quick Start Card

Dealership management teams need tools that allow them to coach, manage, and monitor their throughput in real time during the work day.  Unfortunately reports do no fill this function, and while reports serve the significant purpose of documenting efforts and results they do help a manager when the opportunity is being missed at the time it is being missed.

AutoPoint’s Notifier tool provides managers with real time alerts based on the parameters they set.  This reference guide outlines the set up and administration of this tool.

user_preferences1[/responsive]To access the AutoPoint Notifier options choose Tools>User Preferences from either the SA RO List or from Tech View.

In the User Preferences window choose the tab labeled Notification. In the lower portion of the notification window choose Change Settings.


Three tabs are available in Notifier Settings.


The subscription tab displays notifications that are already set up for the user that is logged in to MultiPoint.  To add a subscription choose New Subscription.

AutoPoint Notifier can send notifications based on six different definitions:

  • [responsive]edit_subscription1[/responsive]Shop Flags 1, 2, & 3: The user can choose to receive either a SMS (text) message and/or an email regarding the use of the Shop Flags.  Four options are available to further define when the notification is sent for any particular shop flag
  • [responsive]edit_subscription2[/responsive]Recommendations per Inspection: The user can choose to receive notifications when an inspected vehicle does not meet a recommendations made minimum at a certain odometer reading.  As with the Shop Flag notifications several options exist to refine when a notification is triggered.
  • [responsive]edit_subscription3[/responsive]Dollars from recommendations: The user can configure to receive notifications when a specific dollar threshold has been met on a single estimate. Additional filters are available.
  • Declined recommendations: The user can choose to receive a notification if any staff member selects decline on any recommendation made to a customer.

Personal Settings

Notification Methods: This tab allows configuration of when and how a manager is notified of a triggered event in the dealership.  In order to receive either an SMS message or an email message that selection box must be checked and a valid telephone number/email address must be input.  Be reminded that data rates apply to any notification sent to a mobile device pursuant the service provider’s provisions.

Notification Times: Individual users can determine when they will receive notifications, by default the notifications will be sent out regardless of hour day or night.  If the shop isn’t working during night time hours this setting shouldn’t cause undue notifications.  For shops that have extended hours, split shifts etc. the user can choose when to be notified and when to not be notified.

Shop Settings

This tab allows a manager to set hours of operation, create different departments within the organization and create unique Shop Hours for each department.

Editing AutoPoint Notifications

[responsive][/responsive]Subscriptions that have been set are listed on the Subscriptions tab.  From this tab a user can enable or disable SMS and/or email notifications by selecting or de-selecting the appropriate box.  A user can delete the notification entirely. Or, change the settings by choosing Edit.
